decisive 61-26 win over

the Loranger Lady Wolves in the semi-final match between local
parish rivals. The win propelled the Lady Wave into the championship game set for
Saturday afternoon against McDonogh 35.
In the first game Salmen advanced in the consolation bracket
with a 55-29 win over Christian Life. The Lady Spartans jumped out to a 19-11 lead
after one period and never looked back cruising to a 55-29 win. Macy Campbell and
Chelsea James led Salmen with 16 and 14 points respectively, while Patrice Worjhoh
was tops for Christian Life with 7.
The Lady Wave made quick work of Loranger going up 22-6 after
one period and out-scoring the Lady Wolves 16-5 in the second stanza to roll to a
comfortable 38-11 halftime advantage. Freshman Bria Bohana posted the only double-digit
total for Ponchatoula scoring 10 points, while Whitney Anthony and Morgan Freché dropped
in seven apiece for Loranger.

The Veritas Challenge
St. Thomas Aquinas Girls’ host. Tangipahoa Parish teams Amite and Loranger along with
Ascension Catholic, Covington, Destrehan, Northshore, and St. Joseph’s complete the eight-team
tournament.
DECEMBER 20-22 ...
Parish Tournament
Always a special event and hosted by Loranger High School. Come out and watch
the local girls and boys teams battle for the title of Parish champs.
